CKD prevalence in Indonesia reached 0.2% in 2013 and increased to 0.38% in 2018. This study aims to determine CKD prevalence in Sulawesi Island, Indonesia. The data used was secondary data from Basic Health Research from 2013 to 2018. This research was an observational using a cross-sectional design. The samples were adolescents ≥ 15 years old with CKD diagnosed by a doctor. The highest CKD prevalence was in Central Sulawesi (0.5%) in 2013 and North Sulawesi (0.53%) in 2018. CKD prevalence in the period of 5 years (2013-2018) among 6 provinces in Sulawesi has increased except West Sulawesi with decreasing number. Kidney function test is crucial to identify kidney disease as early as possible to give effective management. Public health interventions are required in controlling CKD in Sulawesi Island, Indonesia. |
