| 초록 | Objectives: Patients receiving maintenance dialysis is known to have a higher mortality rate associated with SARS-CoV-2. SARS-CoV-2 vaccination-related response rates vary from 29.6% to 96.4% in dialysis patients. We studied immunogenicity to SARS-CoV-2 vaccination in Korean dialysis patients. Methods: We enrolled 70 SARS-CoV-2 vaccinated dialysis patients. Eleven healthcare workers were healthy control subjects. Thirty-two had completed the third vaccination and 38 had completed the second vaccination. Healthy control subjects were completed the second vaccination. IgG antibodies to the receptor binding domain (RBD) of the S1 subunit of the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 were measured. Results: Vaccination responder rates were 86 % (37/43) in hemodialysis patients 96 % (26/27) in peritoneal dialysis patients and 91 % (10/11) in healthy controls. IgG antibodies were statistically significantly higher when the third dose was given. IgG antibodies were independent of the type of vaccine and the time to blood sampling date after vaccination. When the tertiary vaccination was completed, there was no difference in IgG antibodies between the cross-vaccination and the single vaccine. There was no significant difference in IgG antibody between healthy control subjects and dialysis patients. Conclusions: Dialysis patients also showed a sufficient antibody-related response to SARS-CoV-2. Even in the case of cross-vaccination, the antibody-related response was not low, and the antibody titer was higher when the third vaccination is completed. It is necessary to administer the third vaccination to Korean dialysis patients. |
