초록 In 2023, the average age of end-stage kidney disease patients on dialysis was 66.1 years. Elderly (age ≥65 years) patients accounted 57.2% of the total dialysis population, with their proportion continuously increasing. The male to female ratio was 6:4, both in hemodialysis (HD) patients and peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients. In HD patients, the most common vascular access type was arteriovenous fistula (78%), followed by arteriovenous graft (15%), and tunneled HD catheter (5%), and the left forearm was the most common location. Most of HD patients received three times of HD per week. The proportion of patients receiving on-line hemodiafiltration was 11.1% in 2023. In PD patients, 62.4% of patients were receiving continuous ambulatory PD, and 37.6% were on automated PD. The rate of automated PD was continuously increasing. Most of PD patients exchanged 8-10 L of dialysates per day. The rate of exist site infection and peritonitis increased in 2023 compared to those in 2020 and 2021. The rate of hospital admission was 25.8% in HD patients, and 37.6% in PD patients, which was similar with the preceding years.
