제목 Analysis of The Influence of Food Habits, Smoking, Diabetics and Socioeconomic Factors on Kidney Patients in Indonesia

초록 Objectives: One of the non-communicable diseases that has become a frightening specter in the world is kidney disease. The number of people with kidney disease in Indonesia ranks second after heart disease according to the Ministry of Health (2022). The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of income,age,sex,education, eating habits, smoke and diabetes to kidney patient's in Indonesia. Methods: This study uses Indonesian Family Life Survey 5 (IFLS 5) data with a logit model. The number of respondents was 31,413 respondents, of which there were 424 kidney sufferers and the rest did not suffer from kidney disease. The dependent variable used by Kidney sufferers with a value of 1 and not sufferers is 0, while the independent variables are in the form of socioeconomic (income,age, sex, education), Smoking, eating habits (green-vegetable, egg, fast food, smoke) and other disease variables (diabetes). Results: The results showed that age, female gender and diabetics had a significant positive chance of increasing kidney disease, which was marked with a p-value <0.1. The variabel of eating green vegetables, gender of male, education and happiness can reduce the chance of kidney disease which is marked with a negative sign on the coefficient and p value <0.1. While income, eating fast food, eggs, and green vegetables and smoking do not significantly affect kidney disease. So it is hoped that Indonesian citizens pay attention to education balanced with health, and prevent diabetes from occurring so that kidney disease does not occur. Conclusions: Therefore, attention is needed to balance education with health checking, socialization of the importance of maintaining blood sugar for health workers to the Indonesian people
