초록 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a significant global health issue, affecting 11-13% of the world's population. Currently, it is estimated that over 250,000 people develop kidney failure annually, with around 100,000 new patients with ESRD in India. About 175,000 individuals undergo Hemodialysis (HD), with a prevalence of 129 cases per million people. Dietary management plays a vital role in managing CKD. Nurse-led One-On-One personalized education involves nurses customizing education and support to meet individual patient needs, empowering them to effectively manage their conditions through enhanced knowledge, skills, and self-management. Here, we assessed the effectiveness of Nurse-Led One-On-One personalized teaching on Dietary Management of CKD. Forty two (42) CKD subjects undergoing HD were selected from the Dialysis Centre, Baba Hospital, UP, India, by convenient sampling method. Research design was quantitative pre-experimental "one group pre and post-test design". The study began with pre-test by assessing demographic variables and knowledge on dietary management of CKD. Afterwards, Nurse-Led One-On-One personalized teaching on Dietary Management of CKD was conducted and after 7 days, the same questionnaires were distributed to the sample (post-test). The data collected were analyzed and results interpreted. Most HD patients were aged >65 years (61.91%), with 57.14% male and 42.86% female. Majority of the HD patients were having pre-existing co-morbid illness includes DM (16.67%), Hypertension (61.9%), CVD (7.14%) and others (14.29). The pre-test showed that 29 (69.05%) Patients had inadequate knowledge, 13 (30.95%) had moderately adequate knowledge, and none had adequate knowledge. In the post-test, 16 (38.1%) had moderately adequate knowledge, 26(61.9%) had adequate knowledge, and no one had inadequate knowledge. The difference Mean was 15.19 with t value 22.50, which was statistically significant at P<0.05 level. This study shows a significant increase in level of knowledge on Dietary Management of CKD among Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis through Nurse-Led One-On-One Personalized Teaching.
