| 초록 | Background: The microtubule network is closely associated with many diseases. However, the role of microtubule dynamics on kidney diseases including acute kidney injury (AKI) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) have yet to be understood. Methods: In this study, we investigated an involvement of microtubule dynamics in injury and repair after ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) insult in c57/bl6 mice. Results: I/R in the kidney induced deacetylation of the microtubules with a decrease in α-tubulin acetyltransferase 1 (α-TAT1). Paclitaxel (taxol), an inhibitor of deacetylation of microtubule, treatment retarded tubular cell proliferation, resulting in delayed renal functional recovery and accelerated fibrosis. Conclusion: This study suggests that the regulation of microtubule dynamics is important to control the processes of repair from AKI, and subsequent progression to CKD. |
