| 초록 | Objectives : Localized cystic disease of the kidney is defined as a benign, nonhereditary disease. It is differ from autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease. Several reports have revealed the criteria for its diagnosis, including cystic involvement of only one kidney, negative familial history of cystic renal disease, preservation of renal function, and absence of cystic lesions outside the kidney. Although several cases of localized cystic kidney disease have been reported in the literature, long-term follow-up of cases are rare. Methods : Herein, we report the case of localized cystic disease of the kidney followed up long term periods. Results : We present a case of a 28-year-old woman who was incidentally diagnosed with multiple cysts in the mid portions of right kidney. When she came to hospital first time, she had no prior symptoms, but during pregnancy, ultrasonography revealed abnormalities in her kidney. She did not have a family history of renal disease or other hereditary disease. Conclusions : She was followed up for 13 years, and renal function was well maintained without any complications and follow up abdominal computed tomography revealed multiple separated cysts, all which had slightly increased in size, but were still localized to the right kidney. |
