제목	Overview of kidney transplantation

초록	Goal of kidney transplantation is to get long-term graft and patient survival. To achieve this goal, we have to understand immunologic process of transplantation and medical unmet needs in transplantation (acute rejection, chronic rejection, infection, cancer and cardiovascular complication). In this session, I’d like to discuss overview of organ transplantation. My presentation is four parts: history of organ transplantation, immune response, immunologic test and current issue of transplantation Education points 1. How the first kidney transplantion was successful? 2. Three signal model of T cell activation 3. Action sites and development of immunosuppressants 4. Generation and detection of alloantibody 5. Interpretation of immunologic test 6. Overcome donor shortage: 7. Diagnosis and treatment of chronic antibody mediated rejection 8. Prevention of viral infection including BKV and CMV In addition, I’d like to talk current status of ABO incompatible transplantation and prescription pattern of immunosuppressant in clinical practice.
