| 초록 | One of the chemokine receptors, CCR5 is expressed on the surface of T cell, macrophage, and monocytes. CCR5 regulates various cellular activities and plays a major role in the initiation and progression of the inflammatory response. However, the association between renal fibrosis and CCR5 is still unknown due to lack of in vitro/in vivo data. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship between CCR5 and renal fibrosis. In this study, we analyzed kidney tissue samples of patients who were diagnosed chronic kidney disease by kidney biopsy. We performed CCR5 immunohistochemistry staining to evaluate the tissue expression of CCR5. Analyses were performed to access the relationship between tissue expression of CCR5 and pathologic, functional markers of kidney disease. Patients were divided into three groups : (CKD stage 1,2/ CKD stage 3/CKD stage 4) Significant differences of CCR5 tissue expression were observed between each groups. Higher CCR5 tissue expression was measured in kidney tissues of progressed CKD patient. The severity of tubular atrophy implicated CCR5 tissue expression. As the tubular atrophy progressed, tissue expression of CCR5 was increased. Tissue expression of CCR5 also showed correlationship with interstitial fibrosis. The tissue expression of CCR5 increases with CKD progression, Especially in tubular pathologic findings. |
